After the sheet of Lucite acrylic is heated and vacuum formed into the shape of the whirlpool bath, fiberglass is applied to the back side of the acrylic sheet, providing rigidity and strength.
Normal fiberglass resin creates heat when it cures.
That heat deteriorates the bond between the acrylic sheet and the fiberglass.
Vita uses a special cold-curing vinyl ester resin that stays cool as it cures, ensuring the strongest possible bond between the layers, and the strongest bath shell possible.
